What does a fiber optic splicer do?

Simply put, a fiber optic splicer joins 2 or more fiber optic cables/strands together.

The number of strands or fiber counts that I have worked with include 1ct single strand fiber up to and including 864ct ribbon fiber.

I have been splicing in the Los Angeles/Santa Barbara/Ventura/ Antelope Valley area and the surrounding cities as of May 2008.

A more detailed list of tasks can be found in the SERVICES section of the website, however the tasks will vary each day from installing a fiber to the home system for a new housing development, to finding a bullet wound and performing a restoration fiber ring cut to restore telecommunications within a limited time frame.
